The greatest athletes worldwide are coming to Los Angeles for the Olympics for the first time since 1984. Contrary to popular belief, getting tickets won’t require a small fortune or a lucky connection. With more than 1 million tickets starting at just $28 and a third of all 14 million seats priced under $100, the LA28 Games offer a rare opportunity to watch Olympic history right in your backyard, without breaking the bank.
The Olympic Games run from July 14-30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games from Aug. 15-27. Whether you want to watch swimming at SoFi Stadium, kick off a marathon at the Venice Beach Boardwalk or stare mesmerized at gymnasts at the DTLA Arena, the path to securing tickets has already started. LA28 is using a lottery system to distribute tickets fairly across multiple drops throughout the year. Here’s how to sign up:
Step 1: Register for the draw
Head to the LA28 ticketing website and register from now until March 18. After registering once, you’re automatically entered into subsequent ticket drops until you hit the 12-ticket maximum per person.
Step 2: Wait for your time slot notification
Once registration closes, you’ll receive an email between March 31 and April 7 confirming whether you’ve been selected and what time slot you’ve been assigned to purchase tickets. Orange County residents qualify for the Locals Presale, an exclusive early purchase window from April 2-6. No additional steps are required for the Locals Presale if you register using a local zip code.
Step 3: Buy tickets!
During your assigned time slot, you can purchase up to 12 tickets across different events. Have the Olympic schedule handy so you know exactly which sessions and sports you want to watch.
