“I would describe it as ‘open.’ I moved here from Vietnam where the school system is very different, so I didn’t understand how things worked at Northwood. But the students, counselors and teachers were all really welcoming and provided me with a lot of resources to help me get more familiar with the new environment.”

“I think it’s ‘connected.’ Northwood has a strong sense of community and school spirit, which you can see through a lot of the events that ASB holds, like spirit weeks, where you dress up according to a different theme every day. There are also competitions we do with other schools, like the best student section, where you can see Northwood spirit.”

“I would say Northwood is ‘accepting.’ I’m in a sport, and I feel like it’s a way that the school is accepting because based on how well you play or what your interests are, there are so many things that you can do here. I’m also in YAT—I joined because I wanted to volunteer, and there are a lot of students who joined to volunteer as well, so we’re all working towards a common goal.”

“One word I would use to describe Northwood is ‘packed’ because, for me, my time at Northwood has been packed with various fun clubs, nice people and fun memories. During rallies, everyone joins together to cheer on every part of Northwood: the band, cheer and dance. It’s also because we’re the T-wolves and the ‘pack’ of Northwood.”
