“I wanted to teach other kids to try and promote the sport a little more in my own way and earn some cash on the side. I feel like coaching has prepared me for life because it lets me learn how to show my skills to others in a positive way, and working with people of all ages from 8 to 18 years old has helped me learn important communication skills. It’s super important for high school kids to work just because it gives them a small insight to how the real world works. Skills like money management and communication can really only be learned through experience.”

“I’ve been working at different places since my freshman year but I have always been interested in working in retail, so when I found out Edikted was opening in Irvine I applied right away. At Edikted, the environment is very fast paced and requires me to think on my feet and resolve issues quickly. Not only has working taught me so many skills, but it’s also a way for me to relax and not have to think about stressful things like tests or college applications.”

“I like working at Rocky Mountain because I’m able to talk with my coworkers during my shifts while making and packing chocolates because most of us are around the same age and go to high school. I love to spend money and buy new clothes so I knew I would have to have money when I moved out next year on my own. Working has definitely made me realize how tiring it is to make money especially after having to stand for five hours and put my customer voice on but it has taught me to be more punctual and disciplined.”
