SOONDAE SOUP: Warm and filled with nutrients, the soup is a go-to for Korean adults to handle hangovers.

Moobongri Soondae

If tofu stew does not suit your tastes, Moobongri Soondae is a wonderful place to try something new. Perhaps you could try the soondae soup; after all, it isn’t every day you have a chance to eat blood sausage. While blood sausage may sound horrifying, your taste buds may say otherwise. Known as soondae in Korea, the blood sausage dish is a national favorite and is made by mixing pork blood with cellophane noodles and glutinous rice. The soondae is then plopped into a bubbling broth of ox bone, along with green onions, noodles and a variety of other toppings, served fresh and piping hot.
